Students throughout the province will have the opportunity in May to participate in one of a number of gatherings across the island focused on support for our GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) groups and individuals in schools throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Working in partnership with a number of local community and national organizations, the following events are just some of the initiatives underway in schools throughout the province. The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador will present a day long professional development opportunity scheduled for October. Dr. Jonathan Weiss will provide two Public Lecture Sessions focused on aspects familiar to the autism community; the morning will focus on Autism and Mental Health, while the afternoon will delve into Addressing Bullying in Youth with Autism. Sessions will take place at the MUN School of Medicine, Health Sciences Auditorium.
