The Eastern School District's Student Support Services/Progams Division ascribe to the following provincial principles:

- Students with exceptionalities have access to programming which reflects a range of services
- Students with exceptionalities have access to a diverse learning support system
- Students with exceptionalities are supported in their learning by all educators involved
